Description
- This tablet provides relief for symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy/watery eyes, itching of the nose or throat, swelling of nasal passages, sinus congestion, and pressure due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies.
- It contains Loratadine, a non-sedative histamine H1-receptor antagonist, and Pseudoephedrine, an orally active sympathomimetic amine with decongestant action.
- Dosage varies based on age and renal function, and precaution is recommended in patients with certain conditions such as hepatic insufficiency, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, ischemic heart disease, renal impairment, and hypotension.

Pharmacological properties
- Loratadine: non-sedative histamine H1-receptor antagonist with anti-allergic properties
- Pseudoephedrine: orally active sympathomimetic amine with decongestant action on nasal and bronchial mucosa; both α-and β-adrenergic receptor agonist causing vasoconstriction and bronchial relaxation
Interaction
- Contraindicated with MAO inhibitors
- Reduced effects with beta-adrenergic blocking agents, methyldopa, reserpine, and veaturm alkaloids
- Increased ectopic pacemaker activity when used concomitantly with digitalis
- Increased plasma concentration with Erythromycin, Ketoconazole, and Cimetidine
