Composition
- Each tablet contains Calcium Carbonate USP 1250 mg (Coral source) equivalent to 500 mg of elemental Calcium & Vitamin D USP 200 IU
- Each DX tablet contains Calcium Carbonate USP 1500 mg (Coral source) equivalent to 600 mg of elemental Calcium & Vitamin D USP 400 IU
- Each effervescent tablet contains Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) USP 1500 mg equivalent to 600 mg of elemental Calcium and Vitamin D3 400 IU as Cholecalciferol USP
Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration
- One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water
- Better absorption on a full stomach
- Effervescent tablet can be dissolved in water and taken orally
Interaction
- Monitor serum calcium levels with thiazide diuretics
- Avoid concomitant use with corticosteroids
- Avoid ion exchange resins and laxatives
- Administer tetracycline separately from calcium
- Monitor patients on cardiac glycosides
- Administer Corsil-D before bisphosphonates or sodium fluoride
Contraindications
- Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism
- Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis
- Hypersensitivity to the components
- Severe renal insufficiencies
- Concomitant digoxin therapy
