Composition

  • Methyl Salicylate BP 300 mg per gram of cream
  • Menthol BP 100 mg per gram of cream
  • Camphor BP 40 mg per gram of cream
  • Wintergreen oil 122.70 mg per gram of nasal inhaler stick
  • Mentha Piperita 415.40 mg per gram of nasal inhaler stick
  • Cinnamomum Camphora 415.40 mg per gram of nasal inhaler stick

Pharmacology

  • Spasmolytic action of camphor
  • Pain threshold level increase by camphor
  • Cooling and soothing effect of menthol
  • Inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzyme by Methyl Salicylate
  • Reduction of pain by Menthol

Dosage & Administration

  • Apply generously to painful area and gently massage
  • Apply not more than 3 to 4 times daily
  • Discontinue if symptoms persist for more than 7 days

Interaction

  • Methyl Salicylate may increase Warfarin action

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in patients with bleeding disorders
  • Allergy to Salicylate or sensitivity to any of the components
  • Application to broken skin or raw surfaces is not recommended

  • Temporary burning
  • Stinging
  • Dryness in the nose
  • Sneezing

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding

Precautions & Warnings

  • For external use only
  • Do not use with a heating pad
  • Keep away from children to avoid accidental poisoning
  • Do not use tight bandage
  • Do not swallow
  • Keep away from eyes
  • Mucous membranes
  • Broken or irritated skin
  • Long term and excess administration may cause skin irritation and redness
