Pharmacology
- Prodrug
- Inhibits platelet activation
- Inhibits platelet aggregation
- Irreversible binding to P2Y12 class of ADP receptors
- Dose-dependent inhibition of platelet aggregation
- Steady state achieved between Day 3 and Day 7
Dosage & Administration
- 300 mg (4 tablets) oral loading dose
- 75 mg once daily orally
- Given with or without food
Interaction
- NSAIDs
- Warfarin
- SSRIs
- SNRIs
- CYP2C19 inhibitors
- Repaglinide
- Increases risk of bleeding
- Avoid concomitant use with certain drugs

- Hypersensitivity to the drug substance or any component
- Active pathological bleeding
