Precautions & Warnings

  • Substantially excreted by the kidney
  • Increases risk of hypoglycemia when used with insulin or insulin secretagogue

  • Not advised in conditions causing dehydration or serious infections
  • Regular estimation of Vitamin B-12 levels recommended
