Indications

Adjunct to diet and exercise for type 2 diabetes mellitus
Reduction of major adverse cardiovascular events in type 2 diabetes mellitus with established cardiovascular disease
Chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight

Acts as a GLP-1 receptor agonist to stimulate insulin secretion, lower glucagon secretion, and reduce body weight by reducing appetite.

Starter dose of 3mg once daily, maintenance dose of 7mg, can be increased to 14mg for additional glycemic control
Injection starting dose of 0.25mg once weekly, can be increased to 1mg once weekly
Dosing for obesity starting from 0.25mg once weekly, with dose escalation and maintenance dose

Can impact the rate of absorption of concomitantly administered oral medicinal products

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients

Hypoglycemia when used with insulin or sulfonylurea
Gastrointestinal disorders, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation

Not to be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding
