Dosage & Administration

  • 0.4 mg daily dosage
  • 0.8 mg dosage after 2 to 4 weeks if necessary
  • Administration after meal at night
  • Swallowed whole with water
  • No crunching or chewing

Interaction

  • Concurrent administration with alfa1-adrenoceptor antagonists
  • No interactions with atenolol, enalapril, or nifedipine
  • Cimetidine and frusemide interactions
  • Hepatic metabolism interactions
  • Diclofenac and warfarin interactions

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity
  • History of orthostatic hypotension
  • Severe hepatic insufficiency
