Indications
- Relieves dry (non-productive) cough
- Pre & post-operative cough sedation

Pharmacology
- Acts on the brain's cough center to suppress cough
- Rapid and complete absorption after oral administration
- Sustained-release tablet with a maximum concentration reached within 9 hours
- Antitussive action of active metabolites
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: Butamirate Citrate 50 mg tablet: 2-3 tablets daily
- Adult dosage: Butamirate Citrate syrup: 15 ml 4 times daily
- Children dosage: Varies by age and formulation (tablet, syrup, pediatric drops)
Interaction
- Contraindicated with concomitant use of expectorants
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient
