Indications

Prevention of itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis

Pharmacology

Contains Alcaftadine, a histamine receptor antagonist
Inhibits the release of histamine from mast cell
Acts as a potent histamine H2 and H4 receptor antagonist with anti-inflammatory properties

Dosage & Administration

Instill one drop in each eye once daily for adults and children 2 years and over

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component in the product

Eye irritation
Burning or stinging upon instillation
Eye redness
Eye pruritus
Nasopharyngitis
Headache

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy category B
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed
Excretion in human milk is not known
Caution advised while administered to a nursing woman

Precautions & Warnings

Avoid touching the eyelids or surrounding areas with the dropper tip
Avoid wearing contact lens if the eye is red
Not for treating contact lens-related irritation
Remove contact lenses prior to instillation
Administer each ophthalmic medicinal product at least 5 minutes apart if multiple products are used

Use in Special Populations

Safety and effectiveness not established for pediatric patients below the age of 2 years
No overall differences in safety or effectiveness observed between elderly and younger subjects
