Indications

  • Treatment of elevated intraocular pressure
  • Patients with ocular hypertension
  • Patients with open-angle glaucoma

Pharmacology

  • Inhibition of carbonic anhydrase
  • Decreases aqueous humor secretion
  • Reduction in intraocular pressure

Dosage & Administration

  • Shake well before use
  • 1 drop in affected eye(s) three times daily
  • Concomitant use with other topical ophthalmic products
  • Pediatric use: 1 drop in affected eye(s) 2 times daily (4 weeks to 5 years age)
  • Geriatric use: No overall differences in safety or effectiveness

Interaction

  • Rare instances of drug interactions with oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors
  • Consideration for patients receiving high-dose salicylate therapy

  • Hypersensitivity to any component of the product
