Description
- Anclog Plus is a medication indicated for the treatment of conditions such as Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), recent MI (Myocardial Infarction), recent Stroke, or established Peripheral Arterial Disease. It works by inhibiting platelet activation and aggregation, thereby reducing the rate of MI and Stroke. The recommended dosage is 75 mg once daily with or without food, and it should be stored in a cool & dry place below 30°C, protected from light & moisture.

Dosage

Pregnancy and lactation
- Unknown excretion in human breast milk
- Contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy
- Discontinued during breastfeeding
- Used during the first and second trimesters only if clearly needed
Precautions and warnings
- May prolong bleeding time
- Reports of Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) following use
- Reye's syndrome may develop in individuals with chicken pox, influenza, or flu symptoms
- Hypersensitivity reactions reported in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to other thienopyridines
Pediatric use
- Should not be given to children under 12 years unless benefits outweigh possible risks
- Aspirin may be a contributory factor in the causation of Reye’s syndrome in some children
Overdose effects
- May lead to bleeding complications
- Moderate aspirin intoxication symptoms include dizziness, headache, tinnitus, confusion, and gastrointestinal symptoms
- Severe aspirin intoxication symptoms include respiratory alkalosis, respiratory acidosis, metabolic acidosis, hyperthermia, perspiration, and dehydration
