Indications
- Treatment of hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer
Dosage & Administration
- Oral administration
- 125 mg capsule
- Once daily for 21 consecutive days followed by 7 days off treatment
Mode of Action
- Inhibitor of Cyclin-dependent kinases (CDK) 4 and 6
- Blocks progression of the cell cycle
- Reduces cellular proliferation of Estrogen receptor (ER)-positive breast cancer cell lines
Interaction
- Metabolized by CYP3A and Sulfotransferase (SULT) enzyme SULT2A1
- Time-dependent inhibitor of CYP3A
- Effects of CYP3A-Inhibitors and CYP3A Inducers on plasma concentrations
- Alters plasma concentrations of other drugs
