Indications
- Invasive aspergillosis

Pharmacology
- Triazole antifungal medication
- Binds and inhibits ergosterol synthesis
- Inhibits CYP450-dependent 14-alpha sterol demethylase
Dosage & Administration
- Oral administration
- Loading dose regimen for body weight over 40 kg
- Maintenance dose for body weight over 40 kg
- Loading dose regimen for body weight below 40 kg
- Maintenance dose for body weight below 40 kg
- Injection for invasive aspergillosis
- Injection for candidemia in nonneutropenic patients
- Injection for Scedosporiosis and Fusariosis
Interaction
- CYP3A4, CYP2C9 and CYP2C19 inhibitors and inducers
- Increase maintenance oral and intravenous dosage with co-administration of Phenytoin or Efavirenz
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to Voriconazole
- Co-administration with specific drugs leading to serious adverse reactions
- Co-administration with specific drugs leading to risk of loss of efficacy

- No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women
Precautions & Warnings
