Indications

Pharmacology
Broad spectrum penicillin inhibiting cell wall biosynthesis
Dosage
- Adult:
- 250 mg three times daily
- 500 mg three times daily for severe infections
- Children:
- 125 mg three times daily
- 250 mg three times daily for severe infections
Administration
Reconstituted suspension can be administered by adding to milk, fruit juice, or water
Interaction
- Increased and prolonged blood levels with Probenecid
- Reduced efficacy of combined oral estrogen/progesterone contraceptives

Penicillin hypersensitivity

- Intramuscular: Add 2.5 ml water for injection to Amoxycillin 500 mg injection vial
