- Livocard Plus is a medication indicated for reducing the rate of myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), as well as in those with recent MI, recent stroke, or established peripheral arterial disease.

Interactions

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug substance or any component of the product
- Active pathological bleeding such as peptic ulcer or intracranial hemorrhage
Side Effects
- Generally well tolerated
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use during first and second trimesters if clearly needed
- Contraindicated during the third trimester
- Unknown excretion in human breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- May prolong bleeding time
- Potential risk for thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) and Reye's syndrome
- Reported hypersensitivity reactions in patients receiving the medication
Use in Special Populations
- Should not be given to children under 12 years unless benefits outweigh risks
- Aspirin may be a contributory factor in the causation of Reye’s syndrome in some children
Overdose Effects
- May lead to bleeding complications
- Symptoms of moderate and severe aspirin intoxication
