- Dosage & Administration:
- Atrophy of the lower urogenital tract: 4-8 mg/day initially, followed by gradual reduction
- Pre and postoperative therapy: 4-8 mg/day before surgery, 1-2 mg/day after surgery
- Climacteric complaints: 4-8 mg/day initially, followed by gradual reduction
- A diagnostic aid: 2-4 mg/day for 7 days before cervical smear
- Infertility treatment: 1-2 mg/day on specific days of menstrual cycle
- Interaction:
- Increased Effects with Certain Corticosteroids: Dosage adjustment may be necessary
- Possible Decrease in Effectiveness with Activated Charcoal, Barbiturates, Hydantoins, and Rifampicin: Monitor closely

- Overdose Effects: Nausea, vomiting, and possible withdrawal bleeding. No specific antidote known. Symptomatic treatment may be necessary.
