Indications
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhino conjunctivitis
- Symptomatic treatment of urticaria
- Relief of hay fever symptoms
Pharmacology
- Potent non-sedating histamine antagonist
- Selective & high affinity to H1 receptor
- Does not show affinity for 30 other receptors
- Excreted by feces and urine
Dosage & Administration
- 20 mg tablet once daily for adults & adolescents
- 10 mg mouth dissolving tablet for children 6 to 11 years
- 4 ml once daily for children 2 to 11 years
Interaction
- Concomitant use with ketoconazole, erythromycin, cyclosporine or diltiazem increases concentration
- No potentiation of CNS effects with lorazepam
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients
