Dosage & Administration
- Usual dose range for pediatric patients (10-17 years): 5-20 mg/day
- Maximum recommended dose for pediatric patients: 20 mg/day
- Very high cholesterol and high risk of MI or stroke: 40 mg once daily
- Recommended starting dose for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia: 20 mg once daily
- Recommended initiation dose for Asian patients: 5 mg once daily
- Concomitant use with Cyclosporine, Lopinavir/Ritonavir or Atazanavir/Ritonavir
- Dosage adjustment with concomitant lipid-lowering therapy
- Dosage adjustment in patients with severe renal impairment
