Indications

Composition
- Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride BP 14 mg
- Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide BP 6.5 mg
- Levomenthol BP 2 mg
Pharmacology
- Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide raises cough reflex threshold
- Levomenthol has local anesthetic properties
- Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride possesses antitussive, antihistaminic, anticholinergic properties
Dosage & Administration
- Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonfuls of syrup 4 times a day
- Do not take more than 8 teaspoonfuls of syrup in 24 hours
- Use in children & Adolescents not established
Interaction
- May potentiate effects of alcohol and CNS depressants
- Effects of anticholinergics may be potentiated
- Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors may result in symptoms such as hyperpyrexia
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to the product or any of its components
- Recent use of monoamine oxidase inhibitor
- Respiratory failure risk

Overdose Effects
- Hallucinations and convulsions with higher doses, particularly in children
- Coma or cardiovascular collapse with massive doses
- Treatment should be symptomatic and supportive
