Indications

• Relief of cough
• Congestive symptoms relief
• Aiding restful sleep

Composition

• Guaifenesin 100mg
• Levomenthol 1.1mg
• Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 14mg

Pharmacology

• Guaifenesin as expectorant
• Levomenthol's local anesthetic properties
• Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride's antitussive, antihistaminic properties

Dosage & Administration

• Adult dosage: 2 teaspoonfuls syrup 4 times a day
• Maximum 8 teaspoonful syrup in 24 hours
• Not recommended for pediatric patients and adolescents

Interaction

• Potentiate effects of alcohol and other CNS depressants
• Potentiate effects of anticholinergics
• May result in tachycardia, dry mouth, gastrointestinal disturbances, urinary retention, and headache

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the product or any of its components
• Recent treatment with MAOIs

• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• Nausea and vomiting
• Gastrointestinal disturbance
• Dry mouth, nose, and throat
• Difficulty in urination
• Blurred vision

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Care should be taken during pregnancy
• No adverse effects to human fetus or suckling infant reported

Precautions & Warnings

• May cause drowsiness
• Not for narrow-angle glaucoma or symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy
• Not for persistent or chronic cough unless directed by a physician

Overdose Effects

• Excess may cause renal calculi
• Treatment should be symptomatic and supportive
