Pretor 150 mg Capsule is a medication indicated for managing neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, fibromyalgia, and spinal cord injury, as well as adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures.

Pharmacology

  • Mechanism of action: Binds with high affinity to the alpha2-delta site in central nervous system tissues, leading to anti-nociceptive and antiseizure effects

Dosage recommendations

  • Neuropathic pain with diabetic neuropathy: 50-100 mg three times a day (150-300 mg/day)
  • Postherpetic neuralgia: 75-150 mg two times a day or 50-100 mg three times a day (150-300 mg/day)
  • Fibromyalgia: 300-450 mg/day
  • Neuropathic pain with spinal cord injury: 150-600 mg/day

  • Pretor capsule: With or without food
  • Pretor CR tablet: After an evening meal, swallowed whole, not split, crushed, or chewed

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any of its components

Pregnancy and lactation
