Pretor 150 mg Capsule is a medication indicated for managing neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, fibromyalgia, and spinal cord injury, as well as adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures.

Pharmacology
- Mechanism of action: Binds with high affinity to the alpha2-delta site in central nervous system tissues, leading to anti-nociceptive and antiseizure effects
Dosage recommendations
- Neuropathic pain with diabetic neuropathy: 50-100 mg three times a day (150-300 mg/day)
- Postherpetic neuralgia: 75-150 mg two times a day or 50-100 mg three times a day (150-300 mg/day)
- Fibromyalgia: 300-450 mg/day
- Neuropathic pain with spinal cord injury: 150-600 mg/day

- Pretor capsule: With or without food
- Pretor CR tablet: After an evening meal, swallowed whole, not split, crushed, or chewed
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any of its components

- Blurred vision
- Weight gain
- Difficulty with concentration/attention

Pregnancy and lactation
- Pregnancy: Not recommended due to potential risk to fetus
- Lactation: Not recommended due to potential risk of tumorigenicity
Precautions and warnings
- Angioedema: Can occur and may be associated with life-threatening respiratory compromise
- Hypersensitivity reactions: Immediate discontinuation if hives, dyspnea, or wheezing occur
- Suicidal thoughts: Increased risk with antiepileptic drugs
- Respiratory depression: May occur when used with CNS depressants or in the setting of underlying respiratory impairment
