Description
- Ostan Plus is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. It consists of Losartan and Hydrochlorothiazide. Losartan blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II. Hydrochlorothiazide affects the renal tubular mechanisms of electrolyte reabsorption and reduces plasma volume. It is available in various dosage strengths and is contraindicated in certain conditions.
