Indications
- Treatment of androgenic alopecia in males and females
- Stabilisation of hair loss in patients with androgenic alopecia
- Treatment of alopecia areata
Pharmacology
- Stimulates hair growth by increasing oxygen, blood, and nutrient supply to the hair follicle
- Widens blood vessels
- Inhibits androgen hormone to affect hair follicles
- Absorption rate through the skin
- Excretion in urine
Dosage & Administration
- For external use only
- Application on clean and dry scalp
- Twice daily application at 12-hour intervals
- Recommended application dose
- Optimal application time for best results
- Avoid massaging into the scalp
- Washing hands immediately after application
Interaction
- Should not be used with other topical agents altering the stratum corneum barrier
- Potential interaction with peripheral vasodilators
Contraindications
- Cardiac abnormalities
- Children below 18 years of age
- Use of occlusive dressings or other medicines on the scalp
- Presence of certain scalp conditions
