Composition
- Each tablet contains 1250 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source)
- Each tablet contains 500 mg elemental Calcium
- Each tablet contains 200 IU Vitamin D
- Each DX tablet contains 1500 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source)
- Each DX tablet contains 600 mg elemental Calcium
- Each DX tablet contains 400 IU Vitamin D
- Each effervescent tablet contains 1500 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source)
- Each effervescent tablet contains 600 mg elemental Calcium
- Each effervescent tablet contains 400 IU Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)

Dosage & Administration
- One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water
- Take with a full stomach for better absorption
- Dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in a glass of water
Interaction
- Thiazide diuretics reduce urinary excretion of calcium
- Systemic corticosteroids reduce calcium absorption
- Ion exchange resins and laxatives may reduce vitamin D absorption
- Interferes with absorption of concomitantly administered tetracycline preparations
- May increase toxicity of cardiac glycosides during treatment
- Should be administered hours before intake of calcium tablet
- Oxalic acid and phytic acid may inhibit calcium absorption
Contraindications
- Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism
- Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis
- Hypersensitivity to the component of this preparation
- Severe renal insufficiencies
- Concomitant digoxin therapy

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Daily intake should not exceed 1500 mg calcium and 600 IU cholecalciferol
- Reproductive toxicity with high doses of vitamin D in animals
- Avoid overdoses as it may lead to adverse effects on the developing fetus
- No indications of teratogenicity in humans
- Vitamin D3 passes into breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Monitor serum calcium levels and renal function during long-term treatment
- Monitor renal function in elderly patients
- Use with caution in patients with impairment of renal function
- Take into account the risk of soft tissue calcification
Overdose Effects
- Hypervitaminosis D
- Hypercalcemia
- Symptoms include anorexia, thirst, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, fatigue, mental disturbances
- Extreme cases may lead to coma and death
