- Lower respiratory tract infections

Pharmacology
- Oral administration
- Acid-stable
- Readily absorbed
- Time to peak concentration
- High concentration in phagocytes
- Active transport to infection site
- Bacteriostatic levels in infected tissue

- Terminal elimination half-life

- Microbial protein synthesis interference
Dosage
- Oral:
- Adult:
- 500 mg once daily for 3 days
- 500 mg on day 1, 250 mg on days 2-5 for 4 days
- Children:
- 10 mg/kg body weight once daily for 3 days
- 200-400 mg for 3 days based on body weight
- 500 mg once daily for 7-10 days in typhoid fever
- Adult:
- Azithromycin Injection:
- Adult Pneumonia Treatment:
- 500 mg intravenous for at least two days, then 500 mg oral for 7-10 days
- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease Treatment:
- 500 mg intravenous for one or two days, then 250 mg oral for 7 days

Administration
- Reconstitution Procedure:
- Shake the bottle well
- Add boiled and cooled water to the water mark
- Shake until powder is completely mixed with water
- Consumption: Take at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meal
