    Dosage Administration

    • Oral: Swallow whole, taken one hour before a meal

    • Helicobacter Pylori eradication: Triple Therapy for 10 days
    • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: 20-80 mg once daily
    • Acid-related Dyspepsia: 20-40 mg once daily for 2-4 weeks
    • Duodenal Ulcer: 20 mg once daily for 2-4 weeks
    • Gastric Ulcer: 20-40 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks
    • IV Injection for Adult and Pediatric Patients

    Pharmacology

    • Mechanism of Action: Specific inhibition of H+/K+-ATPase in the gastric parietal cell
    • Absorption: Enteric-coated pellet formulation, peak plasma levels at approximately 1.5 hours after oral administration
    • Distribution: 97% bound to plasma proteins
    • Metabolism: Extensively metabolized by the CYP enzyme system
    • Excretion: Plasma elimination half-life of approximately 1-1.5 hours, less than 1% excreted unchanged in urine

    Interaction

    • Metabolized by CYP2C19 and CYP3A4
    • No clinically significant interactions with certain drugs identified
