Pharmacology
Blocks dopamine receptors in the Chemoreceptor Trigger Zone (CTZ) and stomach. Restores normal motility and tone of the upper gastrointestinal tract, facilitates gastric emptying, enhances antral and duodenal peristalsis, regulates contraction of the pylorus, increases esophageal peristalsis, and lower esophageal sphincter pressure.
