Indications
- Topical treatment of inflamed dermatoses
- Treatment of eczema and dermatitis
- Treatment of intertrigo and infected eczema
- Treatment of seborrheic eczema
- Treatment of perianal and genital dermatitis
Pharmacology
- Miconazole is a substituted imidazole
- Hydrocortisone is a synthetic glucocorticoid
- Miconazole interferes with ergosterol synthesis
- Hydrocortisone has anti-inflammatory properties
Dosage & Administration
- Apply as a thin film 2-4 times daily for 1-2 weeks
- Rub well until fully absorbed
- Continue treatment 1 week after symptoms disappear
Interaction
- Amphotericin antagonizes Miconazole activity
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the product or its components
- Not recommended for pregnant or lactating women without medical advice
Side Effects
- Rare occurrences of local sensitivity
- Long-term use may affect adrenal gland hormone production
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Avoid extensive use during pregnancy
- Corticosteroids can cause fetal abnormalities at high doses
