Description
- Aural anti-fungal preparation for the treatment of oral and gastrointestinal candidiasis, eradication of fungal colonization in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract, and super infections due to gram-positive bacteria. Also indicated in dermatomycoses such as Tinea pedis, Tinea corporis, Tinea manuum, Tinea cruris, Candidial infections, Tinea versicolor, skin infections, perianal infections, stomatitis angularis, balanoposthitis, and otitis externa.

- Dosage Recommendations:
- Specific dosages for infants and adults with oropharyngeal and gastrointestinal candidosis
- Twice daily application for affected areas with cream
- Missed Dose Instructions: Apply missed dose as soon as remembered, omit if nearing next dosing time
- Administration: Apply directly to affected area, keep in contact for at least a week after symptoms disappear
- Interactions:
- Avoid concomitant treatment with Terfenadine, Astemizole, and Cisapride
- May delay Phenytoin and Cyclosporine metabolism
- Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Miconazole
- Side Effects:
- Occasional nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea with long-term use
- Rare allergic reactions
- Pregnancy & Lactation: Caution should be exercised during pregnancy and lactation

- Monitor anticoagulant effect when used concomitantly
