Description
- Indications: Treatment of mild, moderate or severe heart failure of ischemic or cardiomyopathic origin in conjunction with other medications
- Pharmacology: Non-selective antagonism of β-adrenergic receptors, a-adrenergic antagonistic activity, antiproliferative properties, scavenger of reactive free oxidant radicals, used in the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, and congestive heart failure
- Dosage & Administration: Specific dosage for hypertension, angina pectoris, and heart failure, with initial and maximum recommended doses
- Interaction: Potential interactions with digoxin, rifampin, warfarin, clonidine
- Contraindications: Not recommended for patients with specific heart conditions, bronchospastic conditions, AV block, sick sinus syndrome, cardiogenic shock, or severe bradycardia
