Indications

Pharmacology
- High anti-inflammatory activity
- High analgesic activity
- Reduces prostaglandin synthesis
- Reduces swelling
- Improves joint movement
Dosage & Administration
- Oral dosage form:
- Initial dose of 400 mg 3 times daily for adults
- Doses for children based on age and body weight
- Maximum dose of 2400 mg daily for adults
- Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: 30-40 mg/kg daily in 3-4 divided doses
- Topical gel: 4 to 10cm on affected area, not to be repeated more frequently than every four hours
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ibuprofen
- Severe or active peptic ulceration

Pregnancy & Lactation
Not recommended during pregnancy and for nursing mothers unless benefits outweigh risks
Precautions & Warnings
- Use with caution in patients with history of gastrointestinal hemorrhage or ulcer
- Ocular monitoring for patients on long-term therapy
- Caution in patients with asthma
- Prescribe with caution in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus
