Indications
- Indicated for infections caused by sensitive Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
- Treats upper respiratory tract infections like sinusitis and tonsillitis
- Treats lower respiratory tract infections like bronchitis and pneumonia
- Treats urinary tract infections like cystitis and pyelonephritis
- Treats skin and soft tissue infections like abscess and cellulitis
- Susceptible to various microorganisms like Staphylococci and Escherichia coli
Pharmacology
- Semisynthetic broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
- Active against both gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
- Inhibits cross-linking process in bacterial cell wall

- Dosage adjustment in renal impairment
- Maximum daily dosage of 4 gm for certain infections
