Dalatic Plus 1.2%+0.025% (Topical Gel)

Indications

• Topical treatment of Acne vulgaris

Pharmacology

• Combination of lincosamide antibiotic Clindamycin phosphate and retinoid Tretinoin
• Clindamycin binds with the 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria
• Tretinoin decreases the cohesiveness of follicular epithelial cells

Dosage & Administration

• Apply before sleep on a washed face
• Apply sunscreen in the morning
• Do not wash face more than 2 or 3 times a day
• Not established for children below 12 years

Interaction

• Caution with potentially irritating topical products
• Decreased activity with concomitant use of Erythromycin
• Increased activity with concomitant use of neuromuscular medicine

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to Clindamycin or Tretinoin
• Hypersensitivity to any other component of the gel

Side Effects

• Erythema
• Scaling
• Nasopharyngitis
• Dry skin
• Cough
• Sinusitis
• Diarrhea

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Unknown excretion in human milk
• Special caution for nursing mothers

Precautions & Warnings

• Avoid application to eyes, nose, ear, lips, cut, burn, and other infections
• Keep away from sunlight after application
