Description
- Used for the treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, tinea manuum, onychomycosis, histoplasmosis, systemic candidiasis, aspergillosis, cryptococcosis, maintenance therapy in AIDS patients, prevention of fungal infection during prolonged neutropenia
- Inhibition of Cytochrome P-450 dependent enzymes
- Utilizes SUBA (Super Bio-available) technology for enhancing bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs
- Dosage and administration instructions for non-systemic and systemic fungal diseases, pediatric use
- Interaction with drugs like terfenadine, astemizole, cisapride, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, rifampin, phenytoin, phenobarbital, digoxin, calcium channel blockers
- Contraindications for patients with known hypersensitivity, severe hepatic disease, and those taking rifampin
