Description
Clenpic is indicated for constipation of any etiology, relief from prolonged & recurrent constipation, and bowel clearance before surgery, childbirth, or radiological investigations. It is a triarylmethane group derivative stimulant laxative that acts locally in the colon, stimulating defecation, reducing transit time, and softening stools. The recommended dosages are based on age and formulation. It should be taken at night to produce evacuation the following morning. The product may interact with diuretics, adreno-corticosteroids, and antibiotics, and has contraindications in cases of ileus or intestinal obstruction, severe painful acute abdominal conditions, acute inflammatory bowel diseases, and severe dehydration.
