Indications
- Treatment of onychomycosis of toenail or fingernail due to dermatophytes
- Treatment of Tinea Capitis
- Treatment of fungal infections caused by Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton species
- Treatment of pityriasis (tinea) versicolor
- Treatment of yeast infections of the skin caused by Candida
- Relief of symptoms associated with tinea infections of the skin
Mode of Action
- Inhibition of Ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cell membranes
- Fungicidal action against Tricophyton Mentagrophyte and Trichophyton Rubrum
Dosage and Administration
- Oral tablet for onychomycosis: 250mg once daily for 6-12 weeks
- Granules dosage based on body weight
- Topical cream application once or twice daily for specific durations
- 1% Spray application once or twice daily based on the indication
Interaction
- Inhibitor of CYP450 2D6 isozyme, may interact with various drug classes

- Hypersensitivity to terbinafine
