Dosage Recommendations

  • 30 mg daily for OA
  • 90 mg daily for RA and Ankylosing spondylitis
  • 120 mg daily for Acute gouty arthritis
  • 90 mg daily for Postoperative dental surgery pain
  • Incremental dosing for efficacy

Interactions

  • Increase in prothrombin time with oral anticoagulants
  • Reduced effect of diuretics and ACE inhibitors
  • Concomitant use with low-dose acetylsalicylic acid
  • Potential nephrotoxic effect with ciclosporin and tacrolimus
  • Increased lithium plasma levels with lithium

Contraindications

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Not recommended during conception
  • Excreted in rat milk, avoid breastfeeding
