Technical specifications
- Adult & children over 10 years dosage: 5 mg 3 times daily, gradually increased to max 100 mg daily
- Children <10 years dosage: Treatment usually starts with 2.5 mg given 4 times daily then raised according to requirement
- Children dosage ranges:
- 12 months-2 years: 10-20 mg
- 2-6 years: 20-30 mg
- 6-10 years: 30-60 mg

Usability features
- Interaction:
- Increased sedation may occur if taken with CNS agents, alcohol, or synthetic opiates
- Combined treatment with antihypertensives likely to increase fall in blood pressure
- Concomitant administration with tricyclic antidepressants may potentiate effects of Myorel
- Reports of mental confusion, hallucinations, headaches, nausea, and agitation in patients with Parkinson's disease receiving treatment with Myorel and levodopa and carbidopa
- Concurrent use of MAO inhibitors and Myorel may result in increased CNS depressant effects
- Caution advised when administering with magnesium sulphate or other neuromuscular blocking agents
- Contraindications and Precautions:
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the product
- Lower doses should be used for patients with impaired renal function or undergoing chronic haemodialysis
- Patients suffering not only from spasticity but also from psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, depressive or manic disorders, or confusional states should be treated cautiously
- Appropriate laboratory tests should be performed periodically in patients with hepatic diseases or diabetes mellitus to ensure no medicine-induced changes have occurred
- Pregnancy & Lactation: Pregnancy category B3. Safe use not established. Should only be administered when potential benefits outweigh possible hazards. Excreted in breast milk, but quantities are so small that no undesirable effects on the infant would be expected

- Most common adverse reactions include transient drowsiness, daytime sedation, dizziness, weakness, and fatigue
- Storage conditions: Keep below 30°C away from light & moisture, out of reach of children
- Therapeutic Class: Centrally acting Skeletal Muscle Relaxants
- Overdose Effects: Gastric lavage is important in case of severe overdose
