Indications
- Treatment of onychomycosis of the toenail or fingernail
- Tinea Capitis treatment
- Fungal infection of the skin
- Yeast infections of the skin
- Pityriasis (tinea) versicolor treatment
Pharmacology
- Inhibition of Ergosterol biosynthesis
- Fungicidal activity
- Activity against Tricophyton Mentagrophyte and Trichophyton Rubrum
Dosage & Administration
- 250 mg Terbinafine tablet for fingernail onychomycosis treatment
- 250 mg Terbinafine tablet for toenail onychomycosis treatment
- 125-250 mg Terbinafine granules dosage based on body weight
- Once or twice daily application of Terbinafine cream based on the infection type
- Once or twice daily application of Terbinafine 1% Spray based on the indication
- Relief of clinical symptoms in a few days
Interaction
- Inhibitor of the CYP450 2D6 isozyme
- Potential drug interactions with tricyclic antidepressants, SSRIs, beta-blockers, and antiarrhythmics
