Description
Clonium ODT is indicated for the treatment of panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia, and as an adjunct in the treatment of the Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, akinetic and myoclonic seizures.
Dosage instructions
The initial dose should not exceed 1.5 mg/day for adults with seizure disorders or 0.25 mg for adults with panic disorder.

Clonium ODT does not alter the pharmacokinetics of phenytoin, carbamazepine, or phenobarbital.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines
- Clinical or biochemical evidence of significant liver disease
- Acute narrow angle glaucoma

Pregnancy and lactation info
Clonazepam may be administered during pregnancy only if there is a compelling indication, but breastfeeding should be discontinued.
Precautions and warnings
Clonium ODT may increase the incidence or precipitate generalized tonic-clonic seizures in patients with multiple seizure disorders.

- Increased production of saliva and bronchial secretion in infants and small children
- Greater pharmacologic effects in elderly patients
- No dose adjustment required in patients with renal impairment

Reconstitution
Clonium ODT for intravenous infusion can be diluted for infusion using diluting media such as sodium chloride 0.9% or glucose 5%.
