Pharmacology

Believed to reduce intraocular pressure by increasing drainage of aqueous humor

Dosage & Administration

Recommended adult dose: one drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) once daily
Evening administration
5 minutes apart if using more than one topical ophthalmic product
Substitution guidelines when switching from another antiglaucoma agent to Travoprost
Pediatric patients: efficacy and safety not established

Interaction

Reduced therapeutic effect with NSAIDs

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to travoprost or any excipients of this preparation

Pregnancy & Lactation

No adequate and well-controlled clinical study in pregnant women
Use during pregnancy justified if benefit outweighs risk to fetus
Excretion in human milk unknown
Caution when administered to lactating women

Avoid wearing contact lenses during administration
Wait 15 minutes before reinserting contact lenses
