Indications
- Treatment of hypertension
Pharmacology
- Olmesartan blocks vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin-II
- Hydrochlorothiazide affects renal tubular mechanisms of electrolyte reabsorption
Dosage & Administration
- Usual starting dose is 20/12.5 mg once daily
- Dose may be titrated at intervals of 2-4 weeks
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions for Olmesartan
- Possible interactions with Thiazide diuretics for Hydrochlorothiazide
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the product
- Anuria or hypersensitivity to sulfonamide-derived drugs

Overdose Effects
- Manifestations of Olmesartan overdose: hypotension and tachycardia
- Manifestations of Hydrochlorothiazide overdose: electrolyte depletion
