Description
Texit DS is an orally active cephalosporin antibiotic with marked bactericidal activity against a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. It is indicated for the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and more.
DosageAndAdministration
The usual course of treatment is 7 days, which may be continued for up to 14 days if required. Dosage varies for adults, children over 10 years, elderly, and children under 10 years. It is recommended to use with caution in patients with markedly impaired renal function.
Interaction
Care should be taken in patients receiving anticoagulant therapy due to potential increases in prothrombin times.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics.
