Composition
- 3.5 gm Psyllium husk per spoonful
- Active ingredient: Psyllium husk
Description
- Mild laxative
- Contains 80% soluble fibre
- Main chemical ingredient: Mucilage
- Useful in chronic constipation
- Useful in treating piles or hemorrhoids
- Soothing effects on the gastric & intestinal mucosa
- Effective in gastric irritation and ulceration
- Lowers serum cholesterol levels (LDL)
- Suitable for obese & diabetic patients
Dosage
- Usual dose: 1-3 spoonfuls daily or as per doctor's advice
- Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 spoonfuls with water daily
- Children 6 to 12 years: ½ to 1 spoonful with water
- Children below 6 years: Not recommended except as directed by physician
- Additional glass of water is helpful after intake
Administration
- Take one spoonful with the provided spoon
- Put husk into an empty glass
- Fill glass with water (150 ml or 2/3 of the glass), stir and drink immediately

Contraindications
Not recommended for patients with gastrointestinal tract obstruction or threatening bowel obstruction
