Indications

Pharmacology
- Reduction of triglyceride production by the liver
- Inhibition of triglyceride synthesis
- Increase in fatty acid metabolism
- Inhibition of fatty acid release
- Increase in triglyceride clearance
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended daily doses for different indications
- Specific dosages for hypertriglyceridaemia, myocardial infarction patients, arthritis, mood disorders, and macular degeneration
- Instructions for administration with or without food
Interaction
- Potential interaction with warfarin
- Recommendation to monitor prothrombin time
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any component
Side Effects
- Rare hypersensitivity reactions
- Metabolism and nutrition disorders such as hyperglycaemia and gout
- Nervous system disorders like dizziness and headache
- Gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders
- Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders like rash and urticarial
Pregnancy & Lactation

Precautions & Warnings
- Moderate increase in bleeding time with high dosage
- Monitoring required for patients receiving anti-coagulant therapy
- Caution in patients at high risk of hemorrhage
- No recommended use in children
- Impact on thromboxane A2 production
- Monitoring of ASAT and ALAT levels in patients with signs of liver damage
- Not indicated in exogenous hypertriglyceridaemia
- Limited experience in secondary endogenous hypertriglyceridaemia
