Indications
- Topical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis
- Topical treatment of tinea cruris
- Topical treatment of tinea corporis
- Caused by Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum
Pharmacology
- Topical antifungal agent
- Broad-spectrum antifungal agent
- Belongs to the azole group
- Inhibits the enzyme lanosterol demethylase
- Blocks ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membrane
Dosage & Administration
- For adult & geriatric use
- Application for interdigital tinea pedis
- Application for tinea cruris and corporis
- Once daily application for two weeks
- Once daily application for one week
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Luliconazole
Side Effects
- Contact dermatitis
- Cellulitis
- Application site reactions observed in less than 1% of subjects
Pregnancy & Lactation
- No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women
- Use during pregnancy if benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus
- Caution when used by breastfeeding women
Precautions & Warnings
- Discontinue treatment in case of unusual allergic reaction
- Recommended for topical use only
- Not for ophthalmic, oral, or intravaginal use
