Indications
- Treatment of adult patients with symptomatic anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD)
Description
- First-in-class, orally administered HIF-PH inhibitor
- Promotes erythropoiesis
- Increases endogenous production of erythropoietin
- Improves iron regulation
- Overcomes EPO-suppressive effects of inflammation on hemoglobin synthesis
- Downregulates hepcidin

Dosage & Administration
- Oral administration
- Taken orally three times per week
- Not on consecutive days
- Individualized dose to achieve and maintain target Hb levels of 10 to 12 g/dL
