Pregnancy & Lactation

  • No indications that vitamin D at therapeutic doses is teratogenic in humans

Overdose Effects

  • Hypervitaminosis D and hypercalcemia

  • Treatment includes discontinuation of calcium, thiazide diuretics, lithium, vitamin A, and cardiac glycosides
