- Tablet contains 1250 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) equivalent to 500 mg elemental Calcium & 200 IU Vitamin D
- DX tablet contains 1500 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium & 400 IU Vitamin D
- Effervescent tablet contains 1500 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium & 400 IU Vitamin D3 as Cholecalciferol
Pharmacology
- Clinical evidence of usefulness for prevention and treatment of Osteoporosis and associated fractures
- Vitamin D essential for healthy bones and aids in Calcium absorption
- Coral Calcium sourced with chemical structure similar to human bone for better absorption
- Vitamin D3 aids in absorption from GI tract and helps maintain Calcium balance in the body
Dosage & Administration
One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water or as directed by the physician. Effervescent tablet to be dissolved in a glass of water and taken orally.
Interaction
Thiazide diuretics, systemic corticosteroids, ion exchange resins, laxatives, tetracycline preparations, bisphosphonate, sodium fluoride, oxalic acid, and phytic acid.
Contraindications
- Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism
- Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis
- Hypersensitivity to the component
- Severe renal insufficiencies
- Concomitant digoxin therapy
