Indications
- Topical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis
- Topical treatment of tinea cruris
- Topical treatment of tinea corporis
- Caused by Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum
Pharmacology
- Luliconazole is a topical antifungal agent
- Belongs to the azole group
- Inhibits the enzyme lanosterol demethylase
- Blocks ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membrane
- Exerts strong fungicidal activity
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage for interdigital tinea pedis
- Adult dosage for tinea cruris and tinea corporis
- Pediatric dosage not established
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Luliconazole
Side Effects
- May cause contact dermatitis
- May cause cellulitis
- Application site reactions in less than 1% of subjects
Pregnancy & Lactation
- No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women
- Use during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to fetus
- Caution when used by breastfeeding women
Precautions & Warnings
- Discontinue if unusual allergic reaction occurs
- Recommended for topical use only
- Not for ophthalmic, oral or intravaginal use
